The list of things I want to share with you just gets longer and longer! I may need to blog more than once per week for a bit.

First, some research:

— Hot off the press, from CompassPoint and the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund: “Underdeveloped – A National Study of Challenges Facing Nonprofit Fundraising.” The Nonprofit Quarterly online just featured an article on the study. The Chronicle of Philanthropy did, too.

— Regularly check out the Nonprofit Research Collaborative. Some great organizations all got together to pool their resources and conduct sector wide research. Partners for 2013 are: AFP, CFRE International, Campbell Rinker, Giving USA, Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, National Center for Charitable Statistics, and Melissa S. Brown & Associates, LLC. We owe a big thanks to these organizations! So check out their reports, for example, “Special Report: Engaging Board Members in Fundraising.”

— Did you read the “Social Influences in Giving” yet? This is useful, useful stuff!

Now some resources…articles I find interesting and useful:

— Check out NPQ‘s article “The Inclusive Nonprofit Boardroom: Leveraging the Transformative Potential of Diversity.” How is that going in your organization? Has your board actually talked about this at some length? Do it. Do it now.

That’s it for now. Later this week and over the weekend, I plan to blog about the “Underdeveloped Report” from CompassPoint/Haas.
