Several writings to add to my thoughts of France and life and terrorism…

“Fearing Fear Itself,” by Paul Krugman.

“After Parks Attacks, Vilifying Refugees,” New York Times editorial board

“Paris and Europe’s Anti-Refugee Backlash,” Anna Sauerbrey

And what a tragedy that these writings describe what is already happening – and what will likely happen.

I know we’re human. So these writings describe human response.

But damn it! I expect leaders to avoid all this behavior. I expect good and just and conscientious citizenry – from political parties to elected officials and on and on – to deny these bad behaviors, to fight for humanity and fight against fear.

I’m more tired of the response to terrorism than I am of terrorism. I’m so tired of this clamoring response of more surveillance and the disgusting rhetoric of ultra conservative nationalist hate-mongering people and and and…
