Leader. Leading. Leadership.

I use those words a lot. I’ll bet you do, too. But how effective are we? What is the art and science of leadership?

  • Recently, I had the privilege of reading an acceptance speech for an outstanding leadership award. I wrote about this in my May newsyletter – and then made it an article posted in the Free Download Library on my website.
  • I wrote about leadership functions in my web column for the Nonprofit Quarterly.
  • I devoted an entire chapter of my book Strategic Fund Development: Building Profitable Relationships That Last, 3rd edition, to “The Art of Leadership.”
  • And my blog, Simone Uncensored, has a category devoted to leadership.

It’s an important topic, leadership. It’s even more important that those who hold a leadership position actually perform well as a leader. And it’s extraordinarily important that leaders develop new leaders.

How are you doing? How am I doing? How are those others doing?
